Rita Radzikowski formed the Vivaldi Chamber Choir and acted as its conductor and music director for many years. The choir was initially based in Burnaby, B.C. and received its incorporation under the Society Act in 1991 as "The Greater Vancouver Vivaldi Chamber Choir Society." As interest in the group grew and membership in the choir began to reflect its regional nature, the rehearsal centre and typical performance venue moved to Vancouver.

Typically the Society mounts three or four programmes in a season that opens with rehearsals at the beginning of September and ends with a final presentation in early June. Details of the current season's concerts are here and the Past Season page carries the programme archive. In the past the choir has been involved in open workshops and usually repeats one of its concerts at an out of town location.

Charitable Status

An annual return of financial and governance information is filed with the federal authorities within six months of the fiscal year end. These returns are public documents; search here to view the society's filing.

  • The Artistic Director is a non-voting member of the board and the Concert Producer is regularly invited to attend board meetings in an advisory capacity.
