Mass with a Twist

Mass with a Twist

Three masterfully crafted settings of the standard mass texts - each one a musical feast for the ears. Together, these three works make for an extraordinary musical event. A jazz combo will accompany the Chilcott and Todd masses - supporting wonderfully rich harmonies and intricate, captivating rhythms. Sandwiched between, Mozart’s K220 Missa Brevis, exemplifies the best of Mozart’s choral writing. It’s nickname comes from the bird-like figures in the accompaniment, which will be provided by Barry Yamanouchi on the piano. Whether this is your first or 500th choral concert, there is something to capture your imagination here. Whether you love jazz, blues or classical music, there is something here to whet your musical appetite. Do not miss this show!
