O Canada!

From Far and Wide - O Canada!

Celebrating the strength and talents of our country, as we commemorate Canada's 150th Birthday. This concert will feature works by Canadian composers and arrangers. From rollicking folksongs of the Maritimes and La Belle Province to lush sacred works by iconic composers such as Imant Raminsh and Healey Willan, there will be many styles of choral music to enjoy. We will present "Songs for a Prospector" by Stephen Chatman; Song of the Mira by Allister MacGillivray; special offerings from the Abbotsford Youth Orchestra; and a grand finale "We Rise Again" arranged for orchestra and choir by Lydia Adams. Our pride will be palpable during this show!
