We Sing as One

We Sing as One

Saturday, March 2, 2024 @ 7:30 PM

Pacific Spirit United Church – 2195 W 45th Ave., Vancouver, BC

In a world where honouring and respecting differences has become deeply important, we also want to celebrate our similarities and unity. Music is the perfect medium to recognize someone’s unique qualities, while leaning into our common voice.

Our March concert showcases the voices of Queer composers and arranger. Historical voices like Aaron Copland and Samuel Barber will be offered up alongside living Canadian Queer composers like Shane Raman, Catherine Laub, Stuart Beatch and Stephen Smith.

What makes the music in this programme magical isn’t the fact that it was written by someone from the 2SLGBTQ+ community… it’s the fact that these composers are extraordinary and their work deserves to be experienced and enjoyed. We hope you will join us as “We Sing as One” on March 2, 2024.

Vivaldi Chamber Choir believes in the power of music to affect positive change in our world. We recognize that we rehearse, perform and record on the traditional, ancestral lands of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleiwatuth people. We acknowledge that the land’s historical relationships with these peoples has existed since time immemorial. We express our gratitude to these peoples and value the opportunity to create music on this land.
